Aehtela is the type of girl that gets herself into adventures without meaning to. Her super-silliness is sometimes misconstrued as superciliousness, but despite this, she is blessed in having some of the most wonderful people in her life. Amongst other things, she is a fan of old-school chivalry, aesthetically pleasing things, rational irrationality, being outdoors and Siamese cats. Her biggest goals in life are to live everyday with fortitude and to become the most successful person she can be. In her spare time, she scrounges to enrich her life with as many things as possible.
In her mortal life, she is an aspiring evolutionary geneticist with a love for mutations.
Regarding the name of this blog and my fascination with the Sargasso Sea – a short narrative in third person:
In times of discontent the words “Sargasso Sea” always drifted to the forefront of her consciousness, soothing, distracting and numbing all at the same time. She liked the way that the words echoed in her head even after she had repeated them aloud. Their lullaby quality merged with images of an endless expanse of free-floating seaweed, creating just the right amount of awkward beauty that she appreciated. She pictured carpets of green amidst a warm and saline biological dessert – pretty yet tragic.
